Problem (The Why)

How might we help prospective clients understand the context behind each project and the thinking that shaped it?

Studio Fronde’s previous website was heavily visual, with little supporting information to help users understand the context, thinking, and narrative behind each project. This created a disconnect between the richness of the studio’s work and how it was understood by prospective clients.

Research (The How)

Rather than beginning with visual reference, we first looked at the behaviors around the product. We studies how architecture and interior design studios structured and communicated information. Through conversation with architects and clients, we identifies the challenges they faced with the existing website and what they looked for when exploring a stood online.
Users dint want an overwhelming amount of information but enough to understand the context, thinking and story behind of a project.

Solution (The What )

The design was built around a simple interaction model that uses curiosity to encourage exploration. Storytelling became the key mechanism for navigating and understanding each project, while the visual language reflected the studio’s ethos of simplicity. A clear and flexible structure was created to maintain consistency across the experience while allowing it to scale as Studio Fronde’s work grows.

Impact

This redesign transformed the Studio’s digital presence from a photographic gallery into an active tool for discover, communication and business development.

The new experience helped prospective clients better understand Studio Fronde’s vision and approach contributing to a 30% increase in business prospects and enquiries.
